Barney came home to the family farm in 2015 to oversee the West Barn Lodge building project. He has since converted The Dutch Barn next door which is now used for Weddings, Events and more and has a passion for building works. He is the energy behind all of the practical projects at West Barn Lodge and enjoys creating new and exciting spaces and facilities for guests to use.

Barney runs the lodge business alongside the farm and the family shooting business with his father Robert and uncle Philip. When not working Barney enjoys nothing less than a day out at a farm dispersal auction finding ‘rusty gold’ which is often up-cycled for use on site, or spending a day in the workshop.

Pippa, Barney’s wife has been influential in the design of both the Lodge and Barn since day one and works alongside Barney in the running of the business. Pippa has an incredible eye for interiors and practical abilities to make a vision a reality alongside the technical skills in website design and graphics.

Moving from London to Fovant in 2017 she has used her previous experience in Set Design and Events to launch Weddings at West Barn Lodge and has expanded the Events side of the business.

Olive has been with us since the start, our family Dachsund who has seen the Lodge and Barn take their shape over the years. She thoroughly enjoys running around in the The Dutch Barn when it is empty!
